The founder of Metro Detective Agency, LLC, Daniel Schroeder, is granted a license by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) to operate as a Private Detective.

November 3, 2006:

Metro Detective Agency, LLC is formed by Daniel Schroeder as an Illinois Limited Liability Company.

December 11, 2006:

Metro Detective Agency, LLC is granted a license by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) to operate as a Private Detective Agency.

January 16, 2007:

The first office of Metro Detective Agency, LLC opens in a shared space on the first floor of an office building located at 125 North 1st Street in DeKalb, Illinois.

March 16, 2007:

Metro Detective Agency, LLC hires its first field investigator employee to assist Mr. Schroeder with a growing number of cases.

March 17, 2007:

The first clerical employee of Metro Detective Agency, LLC is hired to take over accounting and general clerical tasks, so Mr. Schroeder can concentrate on investigative work.

April 12, 2007:

Due to a rapidly expanding client base and the addition of a clerical employee, Metro Detective Agency, LLC moves into a larger private office on the first floor of the same office building located at 125 North 1st Street in DeKalb, Illinois.

June 1, 2007:

Due to continued expansion, Metro Detective Agency, LLC moves into a larger private office space on the second floor of the same office building located at 125 North 1st Street in DeKalb, Illinois. Due to our continually expanding client base, we hire several more field investigators and clerical employees

August 24, 2007:

Metro Detective Agency, LLC is granted a license by the State of Wisconsin, Department of Regulation and Licensing to operate as a Private Detective Agency within the State of Wisconsin. The license in the State of Wisconsin enables our field investigators to work on cases that cross into the State of Wisconsin.

September 21, 2007:

Metro Detective Agency, LLC is granted a license by the State of Indiana, Professional Licensing Agency to operate as a Private Investigator Firm within the State of Indiana. The license in the State of Indiana enables our field investigators to work on cases that cross into the State of Indiana.

February 2008:

Metro Detective Agency, LLC launches TrackPro, our case management system for our rapidly-expanding Service of Process division. More field investigators and clerical employees are hired for our Service of Process Division.

April 2, 2009:

Daniel Schroeder, is granted a license by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) to operate as a Private Security Contractor.

April 14, 2009:

Metro Detective Agency, LLC is granted a license by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) to operate as a Private Security Contractor Ageny under the assumed name ”Metro Security Services”.

July 22, 2009:

Continued expansion in our Service of Process division requires more field investigators, clerical employees, and office space. Once again, we met our office space needs by expanding our office space on the second floor of the same office building located at 125 North 1st Street in DeKalb, Illinois.

November 18, 2009:

Metro Detective Agency, LLC is granted a license by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) to operate a Private Detective Agency Branch Office and we open our branch office in Suite 714 at 77 West Washington Street in Chicago, Illinois. More field investigators and clerical employees are hired for our rapidly-expanding Service of Process Division.

December 1, 2009:

Continued expansion in our Service of Process division requires more field investigators, clerical employees, and office space. Once again, we met our office space needs by expanding our office space on the second floor of the same office building located at 125 North 1st Street in DeKalb, Illinois. We now occupy almost the entire second floor of the office building located at 125 North 1st Street in DeKalb, Illinois.

March 20, 2010:

Due to demand for our services, Metro Detective Agency, LLC moves its branch office to a larger office space in Suite 1332 at 25 East Washington Street in Chicago, Illinois. More field investigators and clerical employees are hired for our rapidly-expanding Service of Process Division.

July 2010:

Daniel Schroeder, the founder of Metro Detective Agency, LLC, commissions upgrades to the TrackPro program; and begins a first-of-its-kind, in the State of Illinois, real time updating and self-policing program for the Service of Process Division. All Process Servers employed by Metro Detective Agency, LLC are issued a handheld device that enables them to update their jobs from the field. The information sent by the handheld devices includes a small photograph of the location of service and the GPS coordinates of where the photograph was taken. This upgrade not only provides our clients information on an “as close as humanly possible to real time basis”, it gives us unprecedented levels of management capabilities. Daniel Schroeder was disturbed by news stories about criminal process servers in New York, and other unscrupulous process servers elsewhere, and decided to be the industry leader in self-policing within the State of Illinois. Due to our extensive background investigations and training programs, we have never had a service successfully quashed. These upgrades and our ethical employment practices will help us keep that record going long into the future.

Metro Detective Agency, LLC operates from two full-service offices located in DeKalb, Illinois and Chicago, Illinois; and employs a staff of approximately twenty full and part-time employees. We continue to provide an array of services to our diverse client base, but our specialty has remained the Service of Process. We are known for our quality, integrity, and outstanding customer service.
